Pulse Oximeter

12 questions in this category

A lightweight, small, non-invasive device attached painlessly to the fingertip to monitor blood oxygen saturation level (SpO2) and pulse rate. An SpO2 above 95% is considered normal.
ACT processes the SpO2 signal and determines blood vessel elasticity based on the derived waveform, then classifies vascular status into 6 levels displayed in an intuitive graphical interface.
The left hand middle finger is recommended for the most accurate measurement, based on research from National Taiwan University Hospital.
Factors affecting accuracy include: same arm as BP cuff/arterial catheter; excessive light (sunlight, fluorescent); body trembling; moisture in device; finger too large or small; poor pulse quality; anemia; intravascular dyes; carboxyhemoglobin; artificial nails or nail polish; fingers with oedemas, scars, or burns.
Yes — fluorescent lamps, ruby light, infrared heaters, and direct sunlight can affect readings. All Rossmax pulse oximeters include a built-in shield to protect against ambient light interference.
The device may not work when circulation is reduced — warm or rub the finger, or reposition the device. Do not look directly inside the device during measurement — the red and infrared lights are harmful to eyes. In high-temperature environments: measure for 10 minutes, then turn off for 20 minutes before measuring again.
Readings can be displayed facing toward or away from the user simply by pressing the on/off button.
The probe is made from materials compatible with living tissue, producing no toxic effects or allergic reactions.
All Professional models have memory. For home use, only the SB210 has unlimited memory via Bluetooth sync with the Rossmax Healthstyle App.
Clean with an alcohol pad and let it dry completely before use on another person.
2 years for all Rossmax pulse oximeters. Accessories: 3 months only.
Using the Fluke Pulse Oximeter Tester. Acceptable tolerance: ±2% for SpO2 and ±1 bpm for pulse rate.
